I had the opportunity today to learn about a wonderful new charity that is co-founded by one of our very own! Maya and two of her friends recently launched ShareBaby, a nonprofit organization that donates gently used baby/children's gear to local shelters. I know that Maya, Kristin & Kate are super excited about it, and I can't help but feel the same way for them (& about it)!
Fit4Mom Montgomery County will be having two playdates in December that will also serve as collection sites for this wonderful group. Read on to see what they're about and what WE can do to support them as they help families in our community.
ShareBaby collects gently used and new items such as diapers, clothing and basic goods for children between the ages of 0-5 and distributes those items to Maryland homeless and domestic violence shelters. Maya will be collecting these items during the first week of December playgroups: Tuesday 12/2 at Silver Spring and Friday 12/5 at Rio.
