We are so excited to announce our MOM (Motivating Mom of the Month) for June! Each month we will take a moment to honor one of our local FIT4MOM Montgomery County Moms for her efforts to lead a healthy lifestyle and for her dedication to the program. This month we honor Holly Kwong!
Holly is a true example of what being a “super mom” really is! She is there for her boys and Kaia for everything. She’s mentally, emotionally, and physically strong. Thanks Holly for being such a great friend and role model to us all!~ Instructor Lyndsey
Holly is a true superwoman . I don’t know how she does it with 4 kids and growing business ! I love having her and her kids in classes. She is dedicated, strong and super friendly ! It seems like I’ve known her forever ! I’m glad she finally joined Fit4Mom family , we all know how long it took Heather to convince her to :)~ Instructor Ewa
It has been so awesome to see Holly become an integral part of the Village, connecting with friends, supporting each other and enjoying this motherhood journey! She is setting an impressive example for all of us as she works hard in class and raises respectful, kind humans!~ Instructor Claire
We asked Holly a few questions so we can all get to know her better, and here is what she had to say:
1. Who are the members of your family?
The members of my family are my children: Tyler 13 yrs, Kyle 8 yrs, Nicholas 6 yrs, Kaia 2 years and my husband Welch.
2. What is/was your career?
I’m a stay at home mother and my own lash extension business.
3. When was your first class, and what do you remember about it?
My first class was May 2017, I was so shy, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming, which made me sign up right away.
4. Where can we find you? What is your Fit4Mom routine these days?
You can find me at home working or Target 🤣, mostly doing activities everyday to keep my kids entertained. I also attend Strides at Pike + Rose and Montgomery Mall.
5. What is your favorite strides exercise?
My favorite strides excercise is definitely not burpees lol, mostly running, I never was a runner til I met these wonderful moms! They motivate me to push, especially our wonderful instructors that became my friends.
6. What has being a mom taught you?
Being a mom taught me how to love, growing up I wasn’t taught what Love was til I had my own kids. Also taught me to “not have so many kids” lol jk.
7. List 3 of your favorite things.
- Maybe my kids
8. Give us a giggle- What is your funniest or most embarrassing mommy moment so far?
My funniest moment is, I had to go number 2, when I had Tyler, and the two middle boys, it was hard to go in and out of the car, so I would have to stop somewhere when I was driving and grab all the boys, Kyle and Nicky in each of my arms, and run to the bathroom. It was hard since Nicky was an oversized Infant and Kyle was 1 🤣.
9. Any advice for other moms out there?
My advice for other moms is for those that feel like you’re alone, you arent. I was always by myself with my 3 boys, didn’t really have friends that I had kids around their age, til Heather convinced me to join after two years of passing by her at mommy me, I finally joined when I had My princess Kaia and realize there were other moms going through the same thing I was. Also another advice, take breaks, run away, leave kids with hubbie, and go to target to keep your sanity!! Lol
10. What would you tell someone who is considering attending their first Fit4Mom MoCo class?
I would tell other moms to join Fit4mom, it really changed my life, everyone doesn’t judge, it’s a wonderful community to build friendship and friends for my kids, play dates, amazing moms that laugh along with you when our kids throw their tantrums. Great way to excercise without having to worry who to watch them when you need to go to the gym.
Thank you, Holly, for being such a valuable part of Our Village here at FIT4MOM Montgomery County! We truly appreciate you & the positive energy you bring to class and Our Village!
Check back to see who our MOM will be in July!
