TEAM SPOTLIGHT- APRIL 2024

THIS MONTH, THE SPOTLIGHT IS ON....

We have such a crazy amazing, dedicated and talented team here at FIT4MOM Montgomery County. I love giving everyone the opportunity to get to know a little more about each one of them, and this month we're going to continue our team spotlight with.....Kaylee Peters!

Kaylee is our newest playgroup captain and we are so grateful to have her! She jumped right in immediately, and brings all of her energy and creativity to playgroups. We are so very lucky to have Kaylee as a part of this #dreamteam!

Now it's your turn to learn a bit more about Kaylee! And then if you haven't gotten to know her well, check out one of her playgroups at Montgomery Mall. You will not regret it.

xo, Jessie

Who are the members of your family?

My husband and I are celebrating our ten year anniversary this month. We have 2 boys, Sam is 6 in first grade, Jamie just turned 2, and our dog, Sasha.

Where can people find you, i.e. what’s your role within FIT4MOM Montgomery County?

I became a playgroup captain recently in March 2024, usually at Montgomery Mall or Silver Spring locations.

Tell us your FIT4MOM story!

I knew I wanted to start moving soon after my second kid. I was aware of F4M from neighborhood friends and couldn’t wait to start. I found a used BOB stroller and when Jamie was 6 months old we went to our first class in Silver Spring. We’ve hardly missed a week since then!

What is your favorite activity to lead?

I love leading all playgroup activities after a workout for the social aspect, talking about mom life and riding the high of endorphins that we are getting after a good sweaty class.

How has FIT4MOM or this village helped you?

Being around other moms in the same life stage as you really helps to feel a little more sane each day. I love that we all take the time to get in a little self care at each class. My kids notice and they want to be strong and healthy like mom now.

What is a fun fact that our village may not already know about you?

My husband’s birthday (8/12, Aug 12th) is the reverse of my birthday (12/8, Dec 8th). Makes things easy to remember.

Is there anything else you’d like our village to know?

Every life stage of being a mom (so far) is hard in its own way and also the best thing ever. These two things can be true at the same time. But under 12 months old is my favorite stage so I’ll be peaking at all of your little babies in class.

April extras:

What do you do to refill your own cup and get some “me” time?

Trashy reality TV watching after kids’ bedtime, any RH and MAFS fans?

What are you most excited about with the arrival of spring?

I love the winter and mountains, but in the spring I love sitting outside and letting the kids run around in the yard to play without it being too hot yet.

What is your favorite flower?

Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush flowers in a large Texas field. I grew up in Austin, TX and this is home for me.
