Having a baby is absolutely a life changing moment! One that brings with it a plethora of emotions. The range of feelings can bounce all over the spectrum; from positive, to negative, and anywhere in between.
During this time in your life, I encourage you to not lose sight of yourself and your own emotional needs. You may feel a bit lonely, and seek out old friends, family, and new friends- who share your current life status. You have taken a huge step already by connecting with the FIT4MOM community and understanding that movement is therapeutic! You may also want someone to talk to that will be there just for you. Someone who will listen, reflect, and help you understand yourself in this new role. A therapist, can be just that person, to support you as you adjust and find new ways to identify your own thoughts, feelings, and wishes. A therapist can help you find your footing again and work on ways to respond carefully to life’s demands.

Positive Strides therapists have experience, warmth, and the training to support you on your new journey. FIT4MOM members receive a special first session for free. We understand that you may have just a few things on your plate, and we want to make finding a therapist as easy as possible for you!
